Who are the next 'Stars' of Explosive Pro Wrestling?
At Hell or Highwater we farwelled two of the greats of Perth wrestling in Nate Dooley & Jimmy Payne. With a whole host of young, hungry wrestlers lining up to take their spot, the question remains, who is most likely to step into the spots left vacant by these two legends?

Damien Slater has to be up there, even if it's a little into the future. I also think Dan Moore will be a top gun down the track. Pitts is destined for big things, and I think those things will come as soon as he drops the Union. Either those wrestlers, or Douchebag McGee. Keep an eye out.

Seb Sander should be a big star in the making. Slater without a doubt! Every match he has I enjoy more than his previous one

MrAshWoodsworth- 07-17-2008

Sander definately! and... Barry Schmidt!!

Douchebag McGee will be NWA world champ one day. AZ and/or the Pitts should be EPW champs sooner though.

I think that the real stars people have overlooked so far are Jay Taylor and Kiel E. Both could be headliners if they keep improving, especially Jay Taylor who has been getting better and better since becoming one of bobby goon's.

Sebastian Sander, definitely. Slater is already moving on up. It's about time AZ move up to that position, with Bobby I think it'll happen one day.

Marcius Pittsonopolous. I think someone here said he picked up a win over Mikey... thats a huge step. Plus, he's always looked like he had the build, and judging by the pic on one of those US flyers, he looks like he's bulked up even more. Sebastian Sander has the build, the power and the potential. Being coached by West can only be a step in the right direction. Slater has the pure wrestling ability, and is racking up the frequent flyer points in experience. But like many great technical wrestlers, their talent wont be fully appreciated by all until his character or gimmick if you will gives us something that makes him stand out. AZ can benifit from the tutoridge of Bobby, but the downside is that he'll also be lost in the shadows of Bobby's success while running with the champ. If he ever wants to be a singles star he'll need to break from the group one day. Barry Schmidt has the character, though we haven't seen the potential of his wrestling ability yet. That being said, it's still early days, and time is on his side. Out of all the potential stars though, the front runner in my opinion is Devlin Reeves. The way the crowd reacts to him is second to none in EPW at the moment. A single point of the finger in any direction and crowd erupts. That, is no easy feat. He's already tasted a few main events, some would consider him a star already. Of all the potential stars, I'd say he's the most likely to develop into the complete package, and future EPW champion.

Sander could be good. He needs less squash matches though.

Sander could be good. He needs less squash matches though. And he needs to stop drinkin' that hatorade. Just one smile... that's all I'm asking for.

frowny-boy (the big guy who sometimes collects stuff at ringside) should debut as Bob Dulla "the butcher" and feud with that other massively original character "bruiser" Barry.

Douchebag McGee will be NWA world champ one day. This guy sounds like something special, I hope I never run into him in a dark alley... My top 3 would be Pitts, AZ and Haste. Al have something to bring to the table.

MrAshWoodsworth- 07-19-2008

Can anybody see Sanders/Big Vin as the next Dooley/Payne?? Big Vin is the dooley style entertainment of the team and Sander is the bigger intense guy like Jimmy was.

Can anybody see Sanders/Big Vin as the next Dooley/Payne?? Big Vin is the dooley style entertainment of the team and Sander is the bigger intense guy like Jimmy was. Maybe it's because those two are relatively new, or maybe because Dooley/Payne were so damn good... but I have to say, that's a parallel I can't personally draw yet.

Well apart from the awesomeness that is Douchebag McGee then only other stand out on the EPW radar is that damn ACE VENDING!
