What a Night. Plenty of tension and animosity in the air. A bit of a quieter crowd until about mid-way, but some solid action in the ring.
I loved Storm slapping Payne's sunburn. That was epic.
Mikey and Fergie put on a great match, very entertaining and skilled.
And how could I not mention it. A lesson learned; don't attack wrestlers, and damn sure don't attack Azazal.
Just some thoughts on a tangent, some "what-ifs."

Anyway pretty good show, the 6 man tag and Mikey/Ferguson Block were both awesome matches.
Jimmy and Dooley=Ratings!
Hopefully Xanderberg joins Brad Wests stable.

awesome night
I can't get over Sebastian Xander picking up Chase and dropping him from above his head all the way to the hard wood floor, man what a sickening thud! Also Haste doing a double frog splash on Jimmy Payne and Nate Dooley was great!
Oh and what a great birthday celebration to finish off a fun show!

What happened after the Main Event, I had to run?

Davis Storm and Shane Haste invited out EPW Chairman of the Board Brett "Dr Boo" Corvus. They then got out all the wrestlers like Richter, Devlin Reeves, Dan Moore, Chase and sung him happy birthday. Then Jack Burbank came out and punched Brett in the balls and Richter kicked his face into a birthday cake, after that Shane haste gave him a frog splash!
I also must say I felt very proud to be an EPW fan last night, we are a good breed.

 Richter bringing out a cake. I bet he baked it with his flower-patterned apron, with the Hello Kitty oven playset.
The Hellfish were, as always, a standout team for mine. These two are always a high point of my EPW nights, because they have characters you actually care about winning or losing (which is something many tag teams lack, in mainstream wrestling), they're so innovative and surprising in their movesets, and it's great to see a tag team getting treated as on an equal standing with solo wrestlers. I'll say quite confidently, I would enjoy the Hellfish in a tag team match as a main event of one of the shows. Tag team wrestling is something I like seeing the spotlight on.
On the topic, I really enjoy EPW's tag team scene. There are some solid teams, and the fact that they aren't carbon copies of their partners - they have their own characters each - is a breath of fresh air. Pitts/Don are a force to be rekoned with, Azazal/Fergie are brutal, and Dan/Chase are great underdogs with awesome high-flying skills. I'd like to see Dan/Chase vs. The Hellfish.
Xander is quite a powerhouse, but he does seem rather plain.
West is back. I admit that I am intrigued to see what Big Vin can bring to the table, but I'm sure West will just continue to bring out the jeers from me.
I wouldn't mind seeing an interview segment or something of the sort each event. If the right wrestler is chosen for this, such as Dooley - annoying but charismatic - it could split up the action really well. Maybe use the segment to interview wrestlers before a big title match, or a grudge match. Bring out both competitors/teams, and build up some deep dynamics.
There are so many wrestlers in EPW who could be considered 'main eventers;' Shane Haste, Bobby Marshall, Mikey Nicholls, Davis Storm, Jimmy Payne, Hartley Jackson, even FN Carnage when he goes solo. I like that, and I think it'd liven the scene up even more if these guys continued gunning for the big title, and if they all had the opportunity to earn a shot at the EPW Title. When everybody wants the title, it makes it even more exciting.

Also, they are great wrestlers individually.

The 6 man was a GREAT match, the whole thing had a really epic feel and about 6 different self-contained storylines going on in it. I like that Bobby's such a tool that not even the EU like him.
Xander, Chase and Kingston really impressed me.
The little improvised touches Devlin, Shane, Davis and Mikey put into their matches (slapping sunburn, kicking Drake while climbing into the ring) are always cool and make them stand out as stars.
Will west take Vice under his parachute-tracksuited wing?
Two lessons from the show.
1) The Merch girl is not someone to fuck with.
2) Bringing fake belts to shows has caught on in the bogan community.

I hope something happens with Vice, his heel turn was good, but he's been a bit lost since his feud with AZ finished imo.
MrAshWoodsworth- 03-16-2008
His heel turn was good??
He just cost Richter a match for NO reason and then got a hair cut, got really generic trunks and came out to Metallica!.
L3- 03-16-2008
Yeahh okk so the heel turn in terms of how it was done was not so good..
But I prefer him as a heel.. he just needs a good feud or something.
KennedyIsGod- 03-16-2008
I always knew Vice as a face, but then at one event he comes out and hates the crowd, that was his "epic" heel turn.
