The night that was
Ferguson Block defeated F.N Carnage Bit slow to start, but entertaining once they started picking up the pace. Azazal's return was unexpected. Azazal's a wanker - what a great chant. Should be an interesting tag title match The Funeral Was funny. I still think Rusty will join the Union... well a reincarnated Rusty. I think Jamie even said something about Scotland. We all know how those of us with Scottish blood can fire up pretty easy. Wouldn't suprise me at all. James Street defeated Chris Vice I cant believe Chris Vice got screwed by those dirty whores. I wanna see Vice snap like he did with AZ. Bobby Marshall def Devlin Reeves Really enjoyed this match until Devlin was robbed Burbank returns Am i the only one who doesnt want to see this fued end yet. Burbank has only just started to get some revenge. Pretty sweet rock bottom. He looks like he should be part of D.O.A The War Cant remember who won. Dont care. It was shit. I go to the wrestling to watch wrestling, not that rubbish. If it wasn't a rumble main event i probably would have left early. Please end that feud there Mana def AZ Wow - enough said Bobby Marshall won the rumble If only betting on wrestling existed. What an entertaining rumble. My highlights - Spike becoming a face momentarily as he cleared the ring of the clowns. Then he was straight back to a heel when F.N Carnage came out. I really wanna see these two fight - Mana destroying half the roster although he wasn't a rumble entrant. That poor ref. What a first night! - 100 men having to team together to eliminate Richter. - Jamie being politely asked to leave by the fans - The exciting finish. Both Bobby and Storm had very close calls to being eliminated. Nail biting stuff - Shane Haste!!!!! hitting the Frogsplash on Bobby after the rumble, then getting gored by Jimmy I cant wait for the show in 2 weeks

I don't know how you can think West is entertaining and Jurah isn't.

calel- 07-15-2007

Thats not exactly what i was saying mate Jurah is entertaining, when he's wrestling. The comedy thing is getting boring. Its just not cricket, or wrestling in this case. As for West, i think he's doing a great job as a heel, and Burbank is obviously a pretty big face. I find their fued interesting, especially now that Burbank just got one back

yeah, good night hey? Did that ref actually get hurt/ko'd from mana's attack? it looked like he was out of it as he went up the ramp past where i was. by the way, this is my first and definetely NOT last epw show. That jamie jurah match was a tad weird and got boring, and everyone started cheering when the european union won, cause it was finally over! a kid near me kept comparing the moves the wrestlers did to wwe moves. Like when the guy in the first match i think had the other guy in a fireman's carry, the kid kept saying 'fu, he's going to do fu like john cena!' he was annoying man! That kid should have got piledrived instead of the ref, that would have shut him up! The kid, like everyone in the arena, thought mana was umaga! i saw that guy have the nate dooley sign get ripped up, which was funny. It clicked that he was a regular poster on this message board? if u see this man, pm me. I was gonna talk 2 u, but u were in tha members :D seats, and i was in the average ones.

there's no members seats.

I guess the reason people turned on Jurah at the end was probably because of Jurah overkill. I think the war was entertaining and its great to see comedy matches in EPW. I dont think since the days of Nothica/Freemanos has there been any comedy in EPW and its always a good chance for laughs and it gets major pops. With a card that featured so many singles matches and a main event like a rumble i thought the 6 man war fit in pretty well. Gave the crowd a chance to laugh and not get burnt out. Seemed camera man Chad isn't a fan of the comedy matches though. Azazal returning was great, i was right near Azazal and i thought it was that guy who sits at ringside with the goatee that nailed Carnage with the Kendo stick. Sure hope that Azazal and Ferg have a catchy tag name.

His board name is 'in training.' Most newbies find comparisons to WWE, because it's all they know of. They aren't into any of the EPW scene yet, so that's what they're left with. I'll admit I was a bit like that when I first starting showing up. I think the kids just need to know boundaries like not going over the rails and not throwing things at wrestlers. Sure, their voices are high and irritating, but they still have a right to enjoy the shows. As long as they are kept in-line to a reasonable degree.

I also heard a couple of kids comparing moves to WWE. He did a backbody drop and the kid was saying he did a "FU"? Also he was yelling out STFU when Spike Steele put in the STF. Most of kids really got to my head, they wouldnt be quiet :P.

Xandman- 07-15-2007

Thats kids though, I reckon its cool, I get a laugh out of hearing them call and compare the moves with the WWE guys

RattleSnake- 07-15-2007

You know not all kids are like that. I usually find its the kids that support Cena that are the ones that don't know much about wrestling, its weird but it seems to be the case. I on the other hand hate Cena and think that he needs to lose his title. But Bobby Lashley doesn't deserve a title either. 12th of August will be special for me (yes i know theres no event then). The 12th of August will be a year since High Stakes, A year since the first time i saw an EPW show.

killswitch- 07-15-2007

I don't mind Cena or Lashley, I like that the kids get REALLY into it and that they appreciate counter wrestling more than I did when I was a kid. Some sort of STFU chant against Steele would probably be pretty funny.

Cesyl the strongman- 07-15-2007

my first epw show that i attended, richter came out and a bunch of kids behind me started to scream " OH MY GOD ITS THE UNDERTAKER". good times.
