John Cannon vs Brad West was a cool hardcore match.. Falling down the bleachers, a fireball thrown.. speaking of which, tiered-seating was an awesome change! Mr Cannon seemed to be the biggest about turn though.. one minute he's beating Brad and getting cheered, and less than half an hour later he's Gangrel's blood-spitting bitch.. wtf?

sounds like they were a couple of weird shows. Reading these posts i'd have to say i am quite confused about which of their wrestlers were faces and heels. Really how does someone go from beting two of EPW's biggest faces and bagging out EPW to a face the next night? Did he do a promo or something to get himself over? The other thing i picked up on was this John cannon guy. He must have been pretty over as a face if he fought Brad West, why would he accompany the heels in the main event? Only thing i can figure is that the heels were supposed to be the faces but it got lost in translation. Well if i went last night the heels in my opinion would have been the faces. I've never liked Rikishi. Gangrel was always cool, i would have marked out if he used the Brood music and it sounds like those who went liked this Black Pearl guy. Im kinda glad i saved my money thanks to this thread. Would it be worth getting the dvd's at least?

Honestly, the thing that salvaged most of the action (bar the EPW matches) was the fact that it was live, and we could interact with wrestlers. Without that, I don't think it would be as enjoyable at all, such as on DVD.

I've got 11 videos up on youtube (1 from night 1 and 10 from night 2) if you guys want to check them out. Quality isn't great but hey its just a mobile phone so who's complaining? http://www.youtube.com/TTC2008

Ahh found the show really terrible, sat next to a bunch of hot dog devouring guys who call each other bro alot and shout things like Smell What The Rock Is Cookin??. Too much viewing of Once We Were Warriors made Ash nervous. The hour delay sucked even more, did Rikishi and Gangrel get help up at Sizzler?. Even worse that because of the delay when we got home, it was too late to order pizza. Davis/Mikey was nice, but everything else just felt like a baad saggy half assed EPW 2004 house show. Gotta feel bad for the Big 'Kish, he wouldve heard RA 2006 got 700 people in a little city like Perth and wouldve thought a show with Rikishi and Gangrel would make some serious cash boy oh boyy did that backfire. So, a sad way to end 2007 wrestling after all the great EPW events this year and thanks to the 2000 superstar Rikishis delay, we didnt even get pizza.

Well the special sauce comment was mine. I've heard rumours at the NHPW gigs that they planned to come back in Feb '08 well as long as Black Pearl and John Cannon are annonuced for the card along with the regular EPW workhorses of Payne, Haste, Marshall and Storm I'll hand over my money. Yyyyyyyaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh

Bottom line seems to be, they were fun nights, but it was no EPW (bar the EPW wrestlers). If EPW shows are worth $16 or so, then I can't honestly justify that NHPW shows were worth more than twice that. Having said that, I'm glad I went and enjoyed the two nights.

I hope they come back, and should advertise better, and also should sell tickets through ticketmaster.

LX__BLADE- 12-06-2007

If they do come back and they reserve front row again i think they should say that on there flyers..

MrAshWoodsworth- 12-06-2007
