New EWF Heavyweight Champion
In another tragic event to come out of Red-Hot Summer in Covina, EWF Heavyweight Champion Scorpio Sky addressed the Covina crowd and vacated his Heavyweight Championship. Scorpio Sky is suffering from severe back pain and will be physically unable to compete and was barely able to get around backstage. Sky stated that this was the right thing to do and returned the belt to Jesse Hernandez, who told Sky that when he was ready and able, he will receive an immediate title match. However, later on in the night it was announced an Elimination Fatal 4 Way would take place, the winner receiving the vacated belt. Brandon Gatson won the Elimination Match, eliminating Mikey Nicholls last to regain the EWF Heavyweight Championship. Scorpio Sky presented Gatson with the championship belt, just as Gatson did for him when Sky first won the title. Yet another big step for Mikey, coming so close to winning the most prestigious title the EWF has to offer. With Sky injured, depending on how long he is out of action, we could potentially be seeing a future Heavyweight Champ in Mikey. He won the American title, there's no reason he can't win the Heavyweight. Your thoughts?

Mikey is doing very well. He's in main events all over SoCal. I hope gold is coming his way soon. Hopefully Sky isn't out for too long, I believe he's the AWS champion too, I think.
