PRESS RELEASE – IWA PRO WRESTLING NATIONAL TV SERIES – EPS 1-6 TAPING Sunday 18.03.07 – BURWOOD RSL CLUB, NSW
IWA Entertainment Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that along with it's current live touring schedule, as from June/July 2007, IWA Pro Wrestling will commence a national television show on the Aurora Channel broadcasting nationally with Foxtel, Austar and Optus cable TV networks. Thirteen episodes of IWA "Main Event" Wrestling are scheduled with a new episode airing each week and a replay that same week. The actual TV tapings will be held at Burwood RSL Club, Sydney NSW from 2pm on Sunday 18 March 2007 and you are invited to come along and witness the action, adventure and enigma of IWA Main Event Wrestling.
Everyone is welcome to see the first IWA Main Event Wrestling TV tapings. There will be two IWA shows that day! The first show is at 2-4pm then another show from 7-9pm both on Sunday 18 March 2007, both taped for television. The tickets are free and available only from Burwood RSL Club on the day. Be early to avoid disappointment.
These shows will be unlike any other IWA live shows. We can expect to see about 18 matches that day, that’s about 9 per show. The matches will have shorter time limits and the format of the show will be different than a standard IWA live event. All the IWA wrestlers you know and love (and hate) will all be on hand. Wrestlers already scheduled to appear include Rob Matrix, Tyson Gibbs, Mark Mercedes, Brett Brady, Billy Cole, Chief Kala Livai, Johnny Dundas, Phil Picasso, Scarecrow, Stephan Cool, Angus McLoud and more. There will be new faces and special guests also. Stay tuned for further updates on the talent appearing and more matches to be announced shortly.

This is awesome news and should really help out Aussie Wrestling. I'm sure lots of EPW guys would be worthy to be on TV and I could think of many that would be great on it and now they have the chance.
And who said Fox8 was the home of wrestling?

good for them, nice to see.
The Vision- 01-10-2007
Yeh i should be on there in no time...
synista- 01-10-2007
It's great for them but personally I'm unsure about it. From what I have heard, IWA have terrible production values.
That looks pretty cool. But mind you EPW looks a heck of a lot better then some of the actual wrestling footage
synista- 01-10-2007
Yeah the actual wrestling footage in there is a bit dodge but the presentation of the rest of it rocks. So hopefully they'll neaten it up a bit more for tv.
That was one of the most shabby SSP's of all time. Haha. Was all that intentional? otherwise he achieved looking crap.
The commentator sounds almost too WWE'ish. But some of the stuff pulled off like that doomsday device were freakin awsome

That is from the IWA in the states friends
