Comments of the night
Right I'm disregarding the chants brought up for the wench that Bobby came out with (my god some of you kiss your mothers with those mouths) but here is some of the top comments I heard made through the night not all from the crowd funnily enough Jay Taylor squealing like a girl, granted not a comment but it took me a second to realise it was him, I know women who wouldn't be able to squeal at that pitch, although he is trying to bring emo back "He kicked my pimpin' hand!" Dooley after having his assist for Jimmy broken by the ref "Whats he got that I don't?" "A 30 inch waist!" Crowd response to Jimmy "Dead man walking" Johnny Wimbledon walking to the ring "Come on Whippet!" (confused the hell out of me seemly an attempt at a alternative nickname for Alex the Kid) Anyone else hear something good?

When Bobby yelled out "one more time" i yelled out "Thats what she said"

I really liked the opening match, it was a great way to kick off the night. The Hellfish at the start of the show works really well, because they always get the crowd going with a stellar match, setting the tone for the rest of the night. Carnage's wrestling in that match was awesome, with new moves being broken out as if he were a luchadore. I also enjoyed CJL chatting up Whatsherface, and the view she provided us with. Mikey/Vice was a solid match, it's just a pity the crowd wasn't very rowdy for this one. I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of the ending... I prefer Mikey to score the win with the Mikey Kick, Shooting Star Press or Mikey Bomb. Vice, now sans the hair and fluro tights, looks like "just another guy" to me, and I think he could benefit from some trademark appearance or gimmick. Payne and Dooley were hilarious on the microphone, dealing with Jimmy's announced weight. 'The Kid' is looking impressive, but was surely going to lose that match. Haste vs. Wimbo was an enjoyable match for me, with Haste at his usual entertaining level and Wimbo pulling out some solid high-flying. The 3-way tag had one stand-out team in particular, which was of course Dan & Chase. These guys are quickly becoming favourites of mine, with their fluent wrestling. The other two teams bounced nicely off of these two, and the finish was glorious. This was another great match. Jose and "Doolay" were great, and I really liked Jose's "I speak English, dickhead!" I thought that was a great moment. Also thanks to Lukey for the free EPW DVD. The main event was terrific. These three guys truly belong in the main event, and Storm broke out some awesome moves as per usual, such as the leapfrog-springboard-DDT, which was amazing in itself, until Bobby's landing with a headplant capped it off. I'm irritated that Marshall got the win, because Haste vs. Storm is a real 'dream match,' but I guess that just means Bobby is great at his job as a heel. He also brings some fine women to the table. I found it to be a very good first show of 2008, and I'm pleased that the smaller crowd didn't detract from the show; the crowd that was there, was pretty loud. I still don't know why people are reluctant to join in Mexican Waves... those are fun. Well done to everyone involved in EPW, for a great show to kick off '08. Well worth the $12, and then some.

Thought it was a realllly good show, made me realise how much i have missed EPW. Bobbys new stable=ratings, they have a cool look and a mighty hot wench. Bobby has to win at Goldrush..... just has too!!. Everybody was on fire and entertaining as usual (bar chris vice *yawwwwnn*) And Storm was verrryy impressive in the main event, definately the MVP of the evening. Oh and European Union push??? *fingers crossed*

Yeah! Bobby won! Can I also have quick results? I couldn't make it, which sucked, but i'd like to see who won what.

My favourite comment of the night was when Bobby. AZ. JT, and the stunner had left after the first match. Said to my friends sitting next to me "See, she's worth the price of admission alone" My friend next to me looks around and she replies "What, $12?" :lol: That totally made my night

I was impressed with the Craigie leisure centre and the tiered seating but i did miss the drinking section and the infamous hotdogs (the food not the bb outcast).. and i couldnt join in the mexican wave as i was eating pringles

How was the turnout of the fans? (Yes, I want results too :D)

The idea of Carnie breaking out of the tag division *Chase's kickpads and wrist guards *Bobby's chick *JT.... anyone else think it *might* be a Callum tribute? *When did AZ get a gap in his teeth? *Spanish fly. *Vice's Amdrag look (just needs more distinctive tights, ironically much like AZ) *Mikey's Goonie's shirt (Ay Mikey!) *Ba-by Ruuuuuth. *The whole Vice/Mikey match *Saddened that nobody got my Alex Kidd jokes *Jimmy kills bitches *Dooley *Johnny's dream *Johnny gets a title match *Vampire Warrior The Don *Johnny's faceplant *Haste kills the English *Storm *almost constant chants during the 3man *Will (baconfudge) bringing 3 people who want to come back.

Unfortunately I had to leave before the main so I could make it home safely due to tiredness but I thought it was a good show to start the year off. All the matches with the exception of Vice/Mikey were action packed and full of high spots but Vice has never been known to wrestle a "light weight" style so wasn't to be expected. I thought the set up was cool and if ever EPW were to bring over a "big" name it might even be the place to hold it with bleachers on 2 sides and heaps of room for seats (and a pool to swim in hehe) anyway bring on Goldrush :)

Does anybody know when the next roadshows will be announced? There just has to be an event at the Wanneroo showgrounds again.

Yeah how handy was the flyer from last year which had a calendar and the date circled when an event was on

they were very handy indeed

Hopefully they alternate the roadshow's between North of the river and south of the river...
