CJL and F.N. Carnage Vs Jag and Storm
forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=746&start=30" target="_blank">http://epw.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=746&start=30 So I see Synista has posted under the houseshow thread that these guys are wrestling for the titles at Date With Destiny. The way I see it this could be the biggest threat to Jag and Storm to come along in a while. FN Carnage has dominated EPW but from memory Storm has always been his white whale in that Carney hasn't beaten him (from memory). I think the time is right and the man that beat Lobo in an awesome street fight is going to win himself some tag gold. Carney has been stepping up his game of late and I think is nearing the levels of 2003 and 2004 where he dominated EPW. The you've got CJL. Outwardly he possibly doesn't look so intimidating next to someone like Hartley Jackson or Davis Storm. But then consider his record in the ring. He and Bobby held the tag belts for over a year (correct me if i'm wrong) and defended them at nearly every show. They outlasted the EPW tag division greats like the serial thrillers, the brat pack and Awsome Inc. Then you have the match against Awsome Inc where he broke his foot, and continued to wrestle on it for 10 minutes or so! And then you've got his title match with Jimmy Payne. I didn't give CJL much of a chance against Jimmy who outways him by a heap! But he came really close to bringing off a huge upset. Meanwhile things haven't been going as well for the forefathers as they have through the majority of 2006. I reckon CJL and Carney might pull it off!

Its definately possible that Carny and CJL will win. Just have to wait and find out

Dirty Harry- 02-06-2007

Both of these two are incredibly tough, you can't put anything past either of them. In a hard-hitting affair, these two can hold up well. I personally don't like the teaming but can't wait for the match. Talking smark, I've realised that the EPW writers (if they have them) will do stuff to throw the show on it's head so again expect the unexpected.

I don't know if there is too much in common with the two for them to beat the team work of Jag, Storm and the ever elusive Nate Dooley. But no doubt the match will be good. Still waiting for the return of Cartel but we haven't heard anything about him. Perhaps he is never coming back.

Did Cartel get injured again? CJL's fairly underated and he's got the personality to get the crowd behind FNC.

He and Bobby held the tag belts for over a year The key part there is he and Bobby The one thing I've noticed about great tag teams is that when they split up one member goes on to become a super mega superstar whilst the other goes on to be a midcarder/jobber. Examples: HBK & Marty Jennety, Johnny Mercury & Joey Nitro, Kenny & the other 4 guys in the spirit squad, and it's not just limited to major companies its in EPW to: Brad West & Justin Sane, Kiel E. and Shane Haste, Bobby (went to America and is flourishing as a wrestling improving all the time) and CJL (Had one notible singles match lat year for EPW Title; you knew he was never going to win) so my conclusion, the pattern continues.

CJL (Had one notible singles match lat year for EPW Title; you knew he was never going to win) But once the match was started you tought he could win it! This is my point, put CJL in a situation where it looks he's not a chance and he'll end up putting in the best effort you've ever seen!

Dirty Harry- 02-08-2007

Yeah, he seemed to just prove in that match that he really was an underrated wrestler and a threat. And I don't think that your tag team equation works that much, probably only 50%. I wouldn't consider Awesome inc an example since Kiel E. went away, and Haste was the entire Awesome inc experience. And everyone knew that Kenny had more talent than the rest of the SS beforehand.

The Vision- 02-08-2007

So according to your idea who was rater less out of edge and christian? And how about La Resistance?

valkorum- 02-08-2007

So according to your idea who was rater less out of edge and christian? And how about La Resistance? Well according to WWE Christian was rated less than Edge. I agree, I always liked Edge over Christian.

FallenInsanity- 02-08-2007

And how about La Resistance? Both became not-so-glorified jobbers!!

The Vision- 02-08-2007

Exactly. None below the other haha

killswitch- 02-08-2007

both? there was three of them.

MrAshWoodsworth- 02-08-2007

Uhhh Sylvian had some success. Rene Dupree didnt do too bad and Conway had a successful Heat run sota..... Hey about Awesome INC, it was Kiel who won the most improved wrestler 2004 award at Re-Awakening and i always thought Kiel would be the one to go onto more success. BUT anyway this would be great if CJL and Carnage could pull off the upset. And yeah CJL can get the crowd behind him with ease, he's the small underdog that you think can win even if you know he has no chance. Has anybody ever been able to read what he writes on his arm?. The only thing i was able to make out was "stay in school".

giggles- 02-09-2007

hahahahaha, stay in school. What a nice guy. I think i saw a seat belts save lifes once, although i remember a few years back he had a "breast wishes kylie minougue" too. Either way, its always worth keeping an eye out for it, if anyone sees anymore or rememers id be interested to hear what they are. I used to try keep an eye out but usually forgot. But back on track, id love to see carnage and cjl claim the tag belts. Who knows, maybe then we might actually get to see them defended once or twice.
