My second email to PWA didn't go through and I just found out last night. I had to order different DVDs, I will be getting
-Slexcellence
-Gauntlet
Hopefully these two should be good DVDs. When I FINALLY get to watch some PWA I will let you guys know what it is/was like.

My PWA DVDs finally arrived today.
I got 4 Corners of Death and Interstate Invitational
And Synista got 4 Corners of Death and Slexcellence.
From what I can judge from the covers EPW DVDs look like they are of better quality but I have not watched anything yet. I will probably watch them on Friday and I will let you guys know what they are like.
synista- 02-06-2007
Excellent.
I'll get them off you sometime, you don't live too far away from me I think.
And cheers for the whole Slexcellence thing and the giving of to me. Best.Sentance.Ever.

I'm looking at getting some more wrestling from over in the Eastern States (mainly WrestleRock and TWE) so if anybody wants some just let me know and we'll organise something.

PWA Melbourne has shut doen but there are a ouple of PWA feds still up and running.
It seems that my PWA dvd I have watched, the diesc is better quality then the EPW dvds, the camera work is good however the commentary/sound is not great.
On Friday/Saturday I will put up a full review of "Interstate Invitational".
synista- 03-21-2007
To be honest, I didn't really enjoy my PWA dvd's that much.
They had some good wrestlers, but it doesn't matter how good the wrestlers are if the camera quality is equal to that of NSWA-e.
in training- 03-22-2007
They were a little dissapointing however, I haven't watche 4 Corners or the rest of I-I yet.

Definitely get TWE Coastal Conflict. Not wanting to sound bias or anything, but its essentially the best production values on the East Coast thus far.
Wrestlerock 4 is well worth a look too. The show is/was the best so far (WR5 on Friday is a new contender), the production is quite good, the cover looks excellent.
Thanks for the kind words too :P

I have a bunch of AWF dvds and I would recomend them highly
Some of the wrestling from the younger guys is a little suss but the bigger names such as TnT, Draven, JT Robinson, Mark Hilton, Jesus Aguillera
The ones I have and I will put a rating on them are
Metal Slam - TnT v Ravenous, Hilton v Draven, Mad Dog v Krackerjak, six matches in all with a Metal Slam rumble also has a bonus disc including Jason Helton and this is my fave AWF release i rate it 5/5
AWF - EPW Showdown - TnT v ex WWE Jesus Aguilera, EPW Title - Mikey v Jimmy Payne, Richter v Bobby Bad Blood plus 5 more matches, some of you guys were probably at this but the crowd was poor and the atmosphere is nil but aside from that i give it a 3/5
AWF Total Madness - TNT v Mad Man Pondo no dq and is a great match in front of a hot Blacktown crowd also features Draven v Billy Flyswat in a Title match with Lumgerjacks and features some hella funny crowd comments as the Jacks enter that had me pmsl every time I watch it, 8 matches in all with one of THE worst 3 way matches ever con-*test*-('")ed but still a 3/5
AWF - CPW Explosion - 7 matches but no Draven ( Im a Draven mark), Jesus v Mark Hilton, 8 man AWF v CPW elim match, TNT v Ric O'Shea, CPW title match Warlock v Crofty, Steve Ravenous v Kid Dynamite solid card with Jesus putting in a good effort 3/5
AWF New Reign - 6 matches Steve Ravenous first title defence v Ric O'Shea, TNT v Marcus Cool, Future Shock v Hilton again from Blacktown this show was another good one with Marcus Cool having an excellent match with AWF owner TNT 4/5
AWF Australia's Cup - Draven defends the AWF title against Kid Dynamite, TNTv Teenwolf, Euro Asssassin v Hilton, not a bad card but not the best either 2/5
Production is good but no commentary, depends what you like, personally I prefer commentary, but yeah AWF dvds are pretty good but a little pricey as they charge $25 which i feel is a bit of a ripoff after seeing the pricing on other feds
Some background on me is that Im a BIG IWA fan and I have a few of thier dvds available only at the shows and are ok but they are made on the cheap, I actually have 5 of theirs but they are mainly Phil Picasso comps but one of them features one of my fave ever Aussie matches - Mark Mercedes v Rob Matrix

I've seen a lot of DVD's of shows from the last few years, quite a few Melbourne ones, a fair few of EPW and most releases from NSW and ACT feds and IMO, the best show I have seen in this country, on DVD or otherwise is PWA Queensland's "Rise Of The Warriors". Night one was very good, with the highlights being Damien Slater vs Chad Skyze (who is very underrated), Ryan Eagles vs Blakestone and best of all Mason Childs and Champagne Pyro beating the shit out of each other. Night two has a killer Slater vs Chris Hero match which is 2007 MOTY for me, Pyro and Mad Dog beating each other senseless and finally Hero vs Mason in the tournament final which was a killer old school style match.
Everything on these shows was very good, even the worst matches of either night were still pretty damn good. The production is excellent and all three discs have some cool extras, excellent value IMO.

Thanks for that Xandman and NFS.
I hadn't really considered PWA-Q as I've never really heard anything spectacular about Queensland wrestling but after reading that i definately wanna check that out.
Xandman- 07-15-2007
I actually got them out again last night after posting above and I forgot to mention my EPW fave FN Carnage in tag action on AWF - EPW Showdown
FN Carnage - Tommy Cartel v The Forefathers for the EPW straps
and the Jimmy Payne v Mikey match is a cracker IMO
Other EPWers on this are Street, Haste, Richter, Bad Blood Reeves and Psychofett
Check out the AWF website

PWA-Q is one of the strongest, and fas-*test*-('") rising feds in Australia today. They're really doing some great stuff up north. :D
