Any Hardcore Matches?
I was disappointed that there were no hardcore matches at high stakes. However the mainevent was a very high quality match. I am hoping that there will be a hardcoe match at boiling point, for the EPW title. there are a few people i think deserve a shot. CJL, Azazal, Haste, FN Carnage and maybe even Brock Freeman. What does everyone think?????

I think when you have hardcore matches all the time, they lose their appeal. High Stakes proved that EPW can tell great stories and put on a great show without having to use tables, chairs, etc. Surely one of the signs of a truly great fed.

Hardcore Matches For High Stakes/Boiling Point
I agree with Sic² Records. After Hell or Highwater where there was not only a Street fight but also a first blood match, the guys at EPW did not need to put on another hardcore match in for High Stakes. The Main event with the forefathers and the ECW guys showed just how great it was and how you can hold on to the 'Specialty' Matches so they do not become monotonous but still put on a world class event. If Boiling Point has a Hardcore match great! But if it does not I am very sure that they will give us a top notch show anyway.

i do agree with you in a way High stakes had great mathes. But, seeing has some feuds have reached 'Boiling Point', i think that it would be good to see the absolutely demolish eachother in a match, using wepons. Im not saying that every match at high stakes should be hardcore, i just believe it would be good to watch. Hell or Highwater was my first EPW event and the highlights of the night for me were the hardcore and street fight matches.

I enjoy the epw guys going at it in normal matches as much as anyone, but even the most purest of us cant deny that some of the highlights from epw shows have been when theres an element of hardcorness about it. The epw vs uprising street fight, mikey vs richter street fight, jamie vs devlin first blood & last man standing matches, carnage vs lobo taped fist street fight, and even the iron man match spent a good 15 minutes on the floor and had a few tables in it. I think the wrestlers in epw can put on an awsome show without any help from weapons and stuff, but theres no denying how much the bar is raised when it gets a little dirty.

i still think i hardcore title might be good even if its a joint epw perth and adelaide title kaos

i love hardcore matches as much as the next guy but i hate when they r used at the beginning of a fued... they r a great wat to end a feud like azazal v carnage steel cage match or mikey v richter street fight... but the one great thing that EPW does is the innovative stipulation matches such as the all for 1 tag match or the respect match or the powerbomb match because imo this is much better than hardcore matches every event

Pretty simple really.

Yeah I love stipulatins like that rather than plain hardcore. The all for one tag match would've been great had it been the actual main event. Anything little can help too just to break up the normal matches like the 10 minute challenge we just saw at HS.
